TSA catches loaded 9mm handgun at Pittsburgh International

PITTSBURGH — TSA officers caught the second gun in three days at Pittsburgh International Airport Friday.

Officers found the gun in a Westmoreland County man’s carry-on bag loaded with five bullets. Days earlier, officers stopped a Fayette County man from bringing a loaded handgun onto an airplane.

The Allegheny County Police responded to the checkpoint and questioned the man.

This marked the tenth firearm caught at the airport this year.
