31-year-old woman dies, man hurt in Pittsburgh double shooting

PITTSBURGH — A woman was killed in a double shooting late Wednesday night in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter notification around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Frankstown Avenue and Collier Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man shot in his lower body and a female shot several times.

Officers immediately provided aid and took them to the hospital, police said.

The man is in stable condition. The woman, Janyel Crawford, 31, of North Versailles did not survive.

No arrests have been made.
