HUEYTOWN, Ala. — One person was killed and three were wounded after a shooting in central Alabama on Saturday morning, authorities said.
Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call near Hueytown at around 6:15 a.m., AL.com reported.
Authorities found four people suffering from gunshot wounds, WIAT reported. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and three victims were taken to area hospitals, according to Sgt. Joni Money, a spokesperson with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The name of the deceased person has not been released, WBRC reported. The identities and conditions of the people who were wounded also have not been released, the television station reported.
The cause of the shooting is still under investigation, the television station reported.
