Christmas 2020: Which restaurants are open on Christmas Day?

If your Christmas plans include letting a restaurant do the work of making a meal so you can enjoy some family time, you’re in luck.

Below is a list of restaurants that will be open for in-house dining or who are providing take-home meals.

(Note: Remember, many locations of your favorite restaurants have local owners and may not open on Christmas, even if others in the chain do. Be sure to check with local restaurants to confirm that they will be open before you go.)

  • Applebee’s: Select locations will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
  • Benihana: Open on Christmas; call for reservations.
  • Boston Market: Boston Market will be open on Christmas at many locations. Check with the one near you.
  • Buca Di Beppo: Buca Di Beppo has a “Holiday Cake Boss Package” which includes salad, pasta, an entrée and a Cake Boss cake for $19 per person.
  • Chart House: You can get a meal to go from Chart House, and select locations will be open on Christmas.
  • Cracker Barrel: Closed on Christmas Day. The restaurant is offering a heat-and-serve meal you can pick up on Christmas Eve (until 2 p.m.)
  • Del Frisco’s: Open on Christmas, and offering a three-course meal to take home.
  • Del Taco: Most Del Taco restaurants will be open, but check with your nearest location.
  • Denny’s: Most locations stay open 24 hours, including on Christmas.
  • Domino’s: Many Domino’s will be open on Christmas. Check with your local store.
  • Dunkin’: Many locations will be open on Christmas. Check with the one nearest you to be sure.
  • Fogo de Chao: Open on Christmas, the restaurant is also offering Holiday To-Go packages.
  • Huddle House: The restaurant will be open on Christmas.
  • IHOP: Check with your local IHOP for Christmas restaurant hours. You can also take home a Holiday Family Feast to feed the family on Christmas.
  • Romano’s Macaroni Grill: Romano’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day for dine-in service where available.
  • Morton’s The Steakhouse: Morton’s will be open on Christmas Day. Reservations are recommended.
  • Panda Express: Panda Express will be open on Christmas.
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House: Ruth’s Chris is offering a Celebration Feast for four on Christmas Day.
  • Shoney’s: Shoney’s is open on Christmas.
  • Starbucks: Some Starbucks will be open on Christmas. Call the one nearest you to check.
  • Waffle House: Always open, Waffle House doesn’t disappoint on Christmas.
