Fred: At least 1 dead as storm knocks out power to thousands in Georgia, Florida

MIAMI — At least one person has died after Tropical Storm Fred made landfall Monday afternoon near Cape San Blas, Florida, according to The Associated Press. The storm has since been downgraded to a tropical depression, according to the National Hurricane Center.
