Walmart employees are once again getting a bonus from their company amid the coronavirus pandemic, officials announced Tuesday.
All hourly associates in the U.S. will get another cash bonus as long as they were employed by the company by June 5. They will get the money on June 25. The amount depends on whether they are full- or part-time.
Full-time hourly workers will get $300 while part-time workers will get $150.
The company will pay out more than $390 million to its employees, including cashier those who work in the supply chain, office workers, drivers and assistant managers of Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs, according to a company news release.
The company has already paid almost $550 million to workers, and with this latest announcement, has pledged a total of more than $935 million to its employees.
Stores are conducting daily health screenings and temperature checks for employees who are provided masks and gloves. The company announced it would limit the number of customers in stores, installed social distancing signs and installed sneeze guards.
