Woman added inmate boyfriend to restaurant’s payroll, police say

BUTLER, Pa. — The manager of a Long John Silver’s restaurant in Butler County was arrested after police said she added her boyfriend to the payroll and stole nearly $50,000.

The strangest part? Her boyfriend was in prison at the time.

“She could could hire and fire,” said Max Wittlinger with Butler Township Police. “Love makes you do crazy things.”

Channel 11′s Amy Marcinkiewicz found out the suspect, Michelle Krzewinski, was in charge of multiple restaurants.

The checks went directly to her boyfriend, who had never stepped foot inside the restaurants.

Police in Beaver County are investigating Krzewinski for similar crimes.

Officers were able to track down her boyfriend, who is out on parole in Philadelphia.

He will be brought back to Butler County to face charges.
