Damp, chilly weather for first day of fall

PITTSBURGH — Cloudy, damp and chilly this evening as we welcome fall at 8:05 p.m.

Cool showers, drizzle and a mist are expected tonight, with temperatures in the low to mid-50s.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette counties, along with Monongalia and Preston counties in WV until 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The first full day of fall will kick off with lots of clouds Wednesday morning and a few stray showers or drizzle in spots.

Clouds will break for more sun in the afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 60s.

Dry conditions move in Thursday for the end of the work week; highs will be in the 60s with chilly overnight lows in the 40s!

The weekend looks dry for now with sun and clouds; highs will be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
