Snow covers roads across Pittsburgh region as bitter cold takes over Friday

PITTSBURGH — You’ll need to clear the snow from your car before you get going Friday morning.

It was a fairly light and fluffy snow, so some whisks of the broom should take care of it.

Some roads remain snow-covered.

It will be bitterly cold all day today, with temperatures struggling into the lower and mid-20s. A few flurries or light snow showers will be possible, but much of the day will be dry.

A moderating trend sets up for the weekend, but it won’t be all sunshine. Saturday will be sunny and chilly with high temperatures in the mid-30s. Rain will be back by Sunday morning, and much of the day Sunday will be wet with highs in the 40s.
