PITTSBURGH — Soak up this spectacular stretch of fall weather and enjoy some time outdoors, but dress in layers and plan for chilly mornings and warmer afternoons.
Looking ahead to the weekend, our rain chances still look pretty spotty, so keep the sprinklers running if you’re working on any fall lawn care, seeding, or planting.
Thanks to our clear night skies, we have prime viewing conditions setting up for the Orionid meteor shower. It is scheduled to peak tomorrow night into early Thursday morning. Best viewing will be from 2 a.m. to sunrise, so find a dark spot away from city lights, give your eyes a few minutes to adjust, and you should catch a good show.
