Wind gusts cool down Mother's Day

PITTSBURGH — A few light showers moved quickly through the region late Saturday night through very early Sunday morning.

However, families should be able to celebrate Mother’s Day outside comfortably.

High pressure will push into the region today, and we will see a mix of sun and clouds.

A northwest wind at 10-15 miles per hour with gusts to around 20 miles per hour will make the high of 68 feel a bit cooler.

The wind will shift to the southwest over the next few days, and the temperatures will be gradually warming into the 80s by the middle of next week.

Although, the storms Pittsburgh residents have become accustomed to over this spring season will make their return to the region.

Showers and storms will return to the forecast by later in the week.
