Broken water main in Mt. Lebanon repaired, hole in road remains

MOUNT LEBANON, Pa. — Nearly 24 hours after a water main break in Mount Lebanon was first reported, repairs were complete Wednesday morning.

Crews from Pennsylvania American Water were called to Cochran Road at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The break in a 16-inch line forced the closure of Mount Lebanon High School on Tuesday.

Customers are being told that they may experience cloudy or discolored water.

While the pipe was repaired, a large hole in the road was not expected to be repaired until Thursday.

Two lanes of Cochran Road remain open.
