These are the Pittsburgh-area school districts with the most valuable homes

Pittsburgh — There are nine school districts in southwestern Pennsylvania that have median home values in excess of $250,000 and eight districts where the median home is worth less than $75,000.

The Business Times looked at the most recent U.S. Census data for school districts across the state. Overall, there were four districts statewide that had median home values topping $500,000, all in the Philadelphia metro.

While home value and income tracked closely together, several of the districts with the highest teacher salaries were not among those with the highest home values. Among the top 10 districts by teacher pay, three were also in the top 10 for home value.
