PERRYOPOLIS, Pa.,None — On Monday, Channel 11 spoke with family members whose reunion was interrupted by a bear.
The bear was spotted outside the family's farmhouse off of Route 51 this past weekend.
There were about 100 people at the family reunion.
"I thought it was pretty cool. I wasn't scared. I was just like, 'Wow, there's a bear in my backyard,'" said Harlee Erdely.
"He looked playful, you know, like he just wanted to get on with his business. He didn't want anything to do with me, and I didn't want anything to do with him," said Ian Erdely.
The bear eventually wandered off into the woods.
There are been several bear sightings in the Perryopolis area.
