PITTSBURGH — New surveillance photos just released show the head of a youth football program allegedly selling drugs during practice, federal investigators say.
Marty Langford, who runs a youth football program in the West End, was indicted on drug charges last week.
11 investigators obtained surveillance photos taken by the feds during the 15-month undercover drug operation.
One of the photos, included in court filings, shows a picture of a man standing by Langford’s pickup truck at the football field in the West End back in August.
The feds say Langford is in the driver’s seat.
In another photo taken right around the same time, you can see kids all around Langford’s truck, gathering for football practice. Authorities say that the man standing by the truck handed off a kilo of cocaine to Langford.
Investigators say Langford then left the field and sold the cocaine to the informant and returned to practice with the cash.
Langford is the president of the West Side Mustang youth football program and during the past five years, his organization has received more than $66,000 in Stop the Violence funds from the City of Pittsburgh.
Langford was indicted by a federal grand jury along with seven others, all accused of running that cocaine distribution network.
He was arraigned on Monday and pleaded not guilty. He has requested a jury trial.
