PITTSBURGH — 11 Investigates has learned that a City of Pittsburgh employee who faced criminal charges last year has now been charged in another case.
Tim Terlecki works for the city’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure.
11 Investigates has learned Terlecki was arrested on Aug. 21 after police say they found him slumped over in his car in a parking lot along Saw Mill Run Blvd.
Terlecki told police he was on his way home from work, was tired and pulled over to take a nap.
Police say inside the car they found four crack pipes and in Terlecki’s pants pocket, they say, was crystal meth.
According to the criminal complaint, police also found suboxone, and they say Terlecki told them he did not have a prescription for it on him.
The criminal complaint does not indicate if he provided a prescription for suboxone.
Police have charged Terlecki with four counts of possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance.
Back in April, Terlecki was charged with driving under a suspended or revoked license.
Terlecki, who works as a handyman on the side, faced more legal troubles late last year.
He was charged in November after Pittsburgh Police accused him of taking more than $22,000 from a woman in Hazelwood, but never finishing the home improvement project.

A neighbor, who spoke with Channel 11 in November, recalled seeing Terlecki at the house.
“I wonder why I haven’t seen that guy in so long. I even offered him my tools. I thought he was an alright standup guy,” said the neighbor.
The charges in that case were eventually withdrawn after, sources say, Terlecki agreed to pay back the woman.
City officials, who were not aware of the most recent charges, tell 11 Investigates they are looking into the allegations, but they say that through it, Terlecki has remained on the city payroll.
It’s unclear if he will face any disciplinary action by the city.
He’s scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on the drug charges next month.
He’s also set to appear in court in September at a summary trial on the driving charges.
