LOWER BURRELL, Pa. — Two people were taken to hospitals afer a reported furnace explosion at a steel plant in Westmoreland County.
Emergency dispatchers confirm to Channel 11 that crews were called to the scene around noon at 101 Braeburn Road in Lower Burrell, which is the location of Braeburn Alloy Steel.
A dispatcher said five people were evaluated for injuries and two were taken to hospitals.
OSHA said they are responding and have six months to conduct the investigation and release their findings.
