‘Active investigation’ by state police temporarily closes Butler County road

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A road in Butler County was closed early Thursday due to an “active investigation,” according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Oneida Valley Road (State Route 38) in Allegheny Township was closed between Sand Point Road and Interstate 80. It reopened around 8 a.m.

The nature of the investigation wasn’t clear. A Channel 11 photographer saw multiple state police vehicles in the area around 6 a.m.
