Allegheny County road reopens after months-long closure for culvert replacement project

EAST DEER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An Allegheny County road that has been closed for months has reopened.

The 400 block of Crawford Run Road in East Deer has reopened to traffic earlier than expected, the Department of Public Works announced Monday.

The road closure began on June 8, so crews could replace a culvert known as Crawford Run Road Bridge No. 3.

Pugliano Construction of Plum served as the primary contractor on the $335,922 project.

An average of 2,731 drivers take Crawford Run Road daily.
