Allegheny County Police make arrest following Coraopolis shooting

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. — A man is in custody after a shooting in Coraopolis early Sunday morning.

According to a press release, Coraopolis police responded to a shooting just before 5 a.m. in the 900 block of 6th Ave.

Upon arrival, first responders found an adult male in an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is said to still be in critical condition.

Coraopolis police requested the assistance of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.

County Police detectives determined that 32-year-old Curtis Christopher Tucker was the person responsible for the shooting.

An arrest warrant was issued and served on Tucker. He has been charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, person not to possess a firearm, and recklessly endangering another person.

He is currently in Allegheny County Jail.
