North Allegheny School District superintendent steps down after being hired in Mount Lebanon

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — The superintendent of the North Allegheny School District has stepped down after accepting another position.

June 2 will be Dr. Melissa Friez’s last day with North Allegheny schools.

She is leaving to become superintendent of the Mount Lebanon School District.

Friez’s contract in Mount Lebanon will pay her $250,000 per year. She is scheduled to start her new position on July 1.
