American Legion bank account almost emptied in contractor-insurance dispute

Leaders with the American Legion Post 600 in Oakmont have spent years getting their organization on better financial footing.

Now, they’re back to losing sleep over their bank account after storm damage cost them nearly $20,000 to clean up.

They said the contractor promised insurance would pay for it, but the insurance company claimed the work was worth significantly less.
