ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A person was killed in a crash between a vehicle and a concrete truck Thursday in Butler County.
According to the Callery Volunteer Fire Co., crews responded to the crash on Mars Evans City Road in Adams Township at 2:14 p.m.
First responders arrived on scene to find a concrete truck on its side, with its load spilled onto the roadway. The driver was able to get out on their own.
A passenger vehicle still had an “elderly patient” trapped inside, fire officials say. Crews removed the driver’s side door and got them to waiting medics.
The road remained closed for about five hours while the concrete truck and its contents were removed.
Before first responders left, they learned that one of the people involved had died.
“Our thoughts are with the families, friends and everyone affected by today’s tragic incident,” Callery VFC stated in a social media post.
