Armored truck heist victim's roommates talk to WPXI

None — PITTSBURGH -- Visitations for the man shot and killed during last week's armored truck heist began Friday night.

Hundreds of friends and family members showed up to support and remember the life of 31-year-old Michael Haines, who was shot and killed Tuesday.

Joe Krsul and Elizabeth Lee were Haines’ roommates, and the two said they hope Haines is remembered as a hero.

“It’s just a big shock,” Krsul said. “Tonight was the beginning steps. We’re not even ready for closure until that guy is turned in.”

“It was touching to see so many people there,” Lee said. “To see so many people come together for the common interest of Michael and his family was touching.”

Visitations for Haines continue Saturday at the Wolfe Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
