NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. — Police seized drugs, illegal firearms and cash in two different operations in Beaver County this week.
In total, police seized five firearms — four equipped with illegal automatic conversion devices — alongside illegal drugs and cash, according to the Beaver County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigations involved the New Brighton Police Department, the Beaver County Drug Task Force, Beaver County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas partners and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
In New Brighton, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant approved by a Beaver County Court of Common Pleas judge.
During the search, officers seized two Glock handguns, one of which was equipped with an illegal conversion device, commonly known as a “switch,” that enables the firearm to operate as a fully automatic weapon. Officers also seized crack cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, heroin, fentanyl and approximately $2,200 in cash.
In a separate investigation conducted earlier in the week, officers worked alongside ATF agents to execute another search warrant.
That operation led to the recovery of three additional Glock handguns, each fitted with an automatic conversion device.
The Beaver County District Attorney’s Office recognized the multi-agency collaboration following the operations.
“The Beaver County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to working alongside our local, state and federal law enforcement partners to combat drug trafficking, remove illegal firearms from our communities and keep Beaver County residents safe,” the office said in a statement. “We thank all of the officers, investigators and agencies involved for their continued hard work and dedication to protecting our communities.”
