RICES LANDING, Pa. — Greene County Coroner Gene Rush says two people were found in the Monongahela River on Tuesday following a deadly boat crash.
Crews have been searching the river in Greene County since Sunday night after a boat and a barge crashed in Rices Landing.
Rush has not provided any details about the victims found today, but said they were found near each other and that he is working to notify next of kin.
The search has been called for the remainder of the day.
Three people are dead as a result of the crash, but one person is still unaccounted for.
On the night of the crash, two people were pulled from the water by barge crew members. One of those victims, a woman, later died at a hospital in West Virginia.
The status of the second victim flown to a hospital is currently unknown.
