ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A bomb threat was found written on a wall in a bathroom within the Mars Area School District on Tuesday.
A message from Superintendent Dr. Mark Gross said the threat was found earlier today in the high school. The threat referenced Friday’s date.
The Adams Township Police Department was immediately notified of the threat.
Authorities are working to sweep the building with bomb dogs and other law enforcement personnel, Gross said.
There will be an increased security presence at the school through the remainder of the week out of precaution.
“Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter,” Gross said.
Gross said more information will be released as it becomes available.
