Bridgeville man who lost consciousness at Allegheny County Jail dies at hospital

PITTSBURGH — A Bridgeville man who lost consciousness while being processed at the Allegheny County Jail was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

James Washington, 42, was unresponsive when he was taken from the intake department at the jail and transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital on Sunday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office. He died Monday evening.
