Butler Co. teacher accused of changing grades for sex gets jail time

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. — A Butler County teacher charged with sexually assaulting five high school girls in 2013 pleaded guilty to corruption of minor charges Wednesday.

Jon Crum was an English teacher at Moniteau School.

According to the criminal complaint,  in at least one case Crum changed a grade for a student after she allegedly, “did something for him.”

Police said the incidents took place in his classroom and had been going on for at least a year.

Crum was sentenced to 90 days in jail, one year house arrest and five years probation. He’ll also have to register as a Megan’s Law offender.

The district fired Crum in June 2013.
