We have obtained exclusive surveillance video that shows how quickly the shooting happened, and the terror that mourners must have felt as they were walking into the church.

At first, you can see people on screen realize that someone is firing a gun, and they make a run for it.

Then, the horse-drawn carriage that brought the casket speeds off onto Brighton Road after one of the horses was hit by bullet fragments.

That’s when a man appears, dressed in all black, while wearing a ski mask, and firing a gun in every direction.

After the shooter runs off, a woman limps toward the church, and after finally making it inside, the church doors are shut and secured.

The terrifying scene unfolded outside John Hornezes’ funeral at the Destiny of Faith Church.

The man who you see firing the gun is either Shawn Davis or Hezekiah Nixon, police say.

They are the two charged in the shooting. According to investigators, they used surveillance video to help identify them, and caught up with them that evening on the McKees Rocks Bridge.

On Friday, we showed you what Hornezes’ family and friends went through inside the church on a livestream video that was recording the service.

You could hear the gunshots and see people running and ducking for cover.

People inside told Channel 11 they heard nearly 60 gunshots, as they were there to mourn Hornezes after he was shot and killed in a triple homicide in the Northside two weeks ago.

At this point, police haven’t released any information about what motivated Davis and Nixon to fire dozens of shots outside his funeral.
