A Coraopolis man who was on the run for five months has been arrested in Homestead, Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced.
Khalil Faulkner, 28, was taken into custody Monday morning on a bench warrant for a probation violation and active arrest warrants in Pittsburgh involving gun and drug charges.
Faulkner had been a fugitive since March, when a bench warrant was issued regarding a probation violation tied to a 2022 guilty plea for burglary and robbery. He also faced an active arrest warrant from Pittsburgh police in connection with a March traffic stop on Saw Mill Run Boulevard.
Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office detectives developed information that Faulkner was staying inside a residence along East James Street in Homestead. Detectives arrived at the home Monday morning and announced their presence before speaking with the mother of Faulkner’s girlfriend. She told officers she was unsure whether Faulkner was inside, but she permitted detectives to search the property.
Detectives then spoke with Faulkner’s girlfriend, who confirmed that he was located on the second floor of the home. Officers announced their presence to Faulkner and ordered him to come downstairs.
Faulkner complied with the commands and was taken into custody without incident. Law enforcement officers then transported him to the Allegheny County Jail.
