Domestic dispute leads to SWAT standoff in Washington County, police say

AMWELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A SWAT standoff ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon in Washington County.

Authorities said the situation started with a domestic dispute between a man and his wife at an Amwell Township home on Courson Hill Road just before 11:30 a.m.

SWAT teams responded when a call came in about a 58-year-old man possibly having a gun.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken into police custody without incident. He’s facing charges of terroristic threats.
