Election 2026: Some Fayette County voters may not get their mail-in ballot; how to still get one

Some Fayette County voters might not get their mail-in ballot.

Friday, the Fayette County Election Bureau said about 300 voters’ ballots may not have been mailed successfully.

The bureau says an earlier issue with ballot label files made by the state’s SURE voter registration system may be to blame.

“We want every eligible voter to vote next Tuesday,” Fayette County Election Director Marybeth Kuznik said in a release. “The Election Bureau is doing everything we can to get the message out that we will replace the ballot of any voter who requested one and did not receive it.”

Voters who didn’t receive their ballot can get a replacement at the Election Bureau on West Main Street in Uniontown between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, which is Tuesday.

If you can’t visit in person, you’re told to contact the Election Bureau.

You can also vote by provisional ballot at your polling place on Election Day.

Mail-in and absentee ballots must be returned to the Election Bureau by 8 p.m. on Election Day. A postmark date isn’t enough, and voters have to hand in the ballot themselves at the Election Bureau or mail it at a post office.

The Election Bureau recommends delivering ballots to the county inside the Uniontown Post Office for the fastest service.
