CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A district judge acquitted a woman charged with disorderly conduct after an altercation in Cranberry Township, where she reported being punched in the mouth by a local contractor.
The contractor, Charles Little, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and now faces additional charges connected to separate driving incidents.
Whitney Hughley came forward with details of the February confrontation after spotting a social media video of a truck carrying the same company logo attempting to force motorcycles off a road in Beaver County.
11 Investigates reported that Little, who owns C.E. Little Contracting, has accumulated at least 24 traffic convictions over the past five years.
Whitney Hughley was driving to a bookstore in Cranberry Township when a white pickup truck bearing a company logo came speeding up behind her in the turning lane. Hughley said the driver maneuvered aggressively alongside her vehicle before both drivers pulled into a nearby parking lot.
After parking near a bookstore, Hughley said the driver parked near a bank and approached her rapidly.
“He then proceeds to walk towards me really fast, still cursing. He gets close to my face and next thing I know I’m lying on the ground,” Hughley said.
Hughley admitted she pushed the man away after he entered her personal space, after which he punched her in the mouth.
“I didn’t realize I had got hit till it was like a flash of white and I just instantly woke up, and I’m like ‘Was I hit?’” Hughley said. “He immediately walks away, and I’m yelling at him, ‘No, stay here,’ and I look at my phone and then I look down at my white coat and I’m covered in blood.”
Cranberry Township Police initially cited both Hughley and Little for disorderly conduct, engaging in fighting. However, a district judge acquitted Hughley, expunged her record and reprimanded the citing officer.
“The judge acquitted me of everything. He expunged my record. He kind of reprimanded the officer for citing me in the first place,” Hughley said. Little pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Hughley said seeing a recent social media video showing a truck with the same business logo attempting to run motorcycles off the road in Beaver County prompted her to come forward.
“That’s the first video I see of this motorcyclist, and that truck looked really familiar, and it just triggered me,” Hughley said.
Police have not publicly identified the driver in the motorcycle incident, and an attorney representing Little declined to comment.
According to 11 Investigates, court records show Little has been found guilty of at least 24 traffic violations over the past five years, including speeding, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and disregarding traffic devices.
After Hughley shared her experience online, other motorists described past altercations involving Little. One driver reported her vehicle was rear-ended by Little’s Corvette, leaving her with fractured ribs and a concussion. Police documentation showed Little was driving too fast for conditions, but the charges were dismissed when the responding trooper failed to appear for a court hearing. Another driver reported Little backed a motorcycle into her SUV and struck her face while punching her window. Police confirmed that incident was captured on surveillance video, and Little is now charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
Hughley called for public awareness and law enforcement action regarding the pattern of incidents. “I think Pittsburgh should be very much aware of this man. and the police absolutely need to do something now,” Hughley said.
Hughley’s lip became infected, and she’s now saddled with thousands of dollars in medical bills.
11 Investigates reached out to Little’s attorney to see if either he or Little had any comment about the charges and allegations. Little’s attorney declined comment.
