Humane officers: Westmoreland County farm animal neglect is one of the worst they’ve seen

GREENSBURG — All but furgotten’ Humane officers say it’s one of the worst cases of animal neglect they’ve ever seen.

The officers received several complaints about a farm on “monkey wrench road” in Hempfield Township.

When officers got there tonight, they say they found the animals in bad shape.

We’re talking several cases of neglect.

The animals have been removed from the property.

We hope to get more information about the condition of the animals, and whether any charges will be filed in the coming days.
