Warnings canceled, Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for parts of the area

PITTSBURGH — Rain, freezing rain and snow will fall across the area Thursday. The Pittsburgh area will be mainly a cold, soaking rain.

Icy conditions and travel will be impacted this morning north of Route 422 and through lunchtime in the ridges and mountains. Ice Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for these locations.

You can expect poor road conditions in the mountains much of the day as any untreated surface could be icy.

Behind this system colder air will filter in place Friday with the chance for scattered snow showers is possible for Friday night and Saturday.
