PITTSBURGH — Starting next Monday, July 4, 2022, iconic game shows JEOPARDY! and Wheel of Fortune will swap time slots on WPXI Channel 11 in Pittsburgh.

With the change, Wheel of Fortune will air weekdays at 7 p.m. and JEOPARDY! will air weekdays at 7:30 p.m.

The time change will better align the airings of these programs with how they are broadcast throughout the rest of the country.

JEOPARDY!, America’s Favorite Quiz Show™, is in its 38th season in syndication.

With a weekly audience over 20 million viewers,* JEOPARDY! is the top-rated quiz show on television.

In Pittsburgh, JEOPARDY! is the #1 M-F show of the day. (vs. regularly scheduled non-prime; Pittsburgh Nielsen; May 2022 avg. L+SD overnight delivery)

The show has won a total of 42 Emmy® Awards, holds the Guinness World Records® title for the most Emmy® Awards won by a TV game show, and received a Peabody Award for “celebrating and rewarding knowledge.”

JEOPARDY! is produced by Sony Pictures Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company; it is distributed domestically by CBS Media Ventures and internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group, both units of ViacomCBS. *Source: Nielsen NPower, 2020/21 (9/14/20- 7/4/21)

Wheel of Fortune, also trademarked America’s Game®, is currently in its 39th season in syndication.

It was originally created by Merv Griffin in 1975 as an NBC daytime show based on the popular game “Hangman.”

Pat Sajak and Vanna White have hosted the show since its debut in syndication in 1983 and Jim Thornton became the show’s announcer in 2011.

JEOPARDY! and Wheel of Fortune rival top prime, and would rank in the top 10 with adults 25-54 in Pittsburgh.
