DRAVOSBURG, Pa. -- — Charles Lopresti, the Konias family attorney, said Tuesday that Ken and Renee Konias are “relieved their son is in police custody.”
Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski went to the Konias’ Dravosburg home Tuesday, but no one answered the door.
Ken and Renee Konias haven’t been heard from since they went on TV and pleaded for their son to give up and turn himself in.
People who live in the Konias’ neighborhood said the Konias’ have kept a very low profile for the past few weeks.
“I sort of thought he got tied up with somebody that blew him away and took the money,” neighbor Chuck King said. “I’m glad they got him.”
Kaminski also tried talking with Michael Haines’ parents, but no one responded. The Haines family has kept to themselves since their son was killed Feb. 28.
“They are pleased that he’s been captured and pleased that the justice system will have an opportunity to work,” John Bacharach, the Haines’ family attorney, said. “They’re confident a just a fair outcome will be the result.”
