Man accused of following woman home in Bellevue facing new stalking charge

BELLEVUE, Pa. — A man accused of following a woman home in Bellevue is facing new charges.

Anthony Joseph Bartos, 26, was arrested Aug. 17 after police say he followed the woman home from the bar.

Investigators claim he tried to enter her house as she was unlocking the door.

“He knew exactly how to be quiet; he put those gloves on, following me,” the victim, Jerah Jorinscay, told Channel 11. “He knew what he was going to do.”

Thursday, the Bellevue Borough Police Department said Bartos had been arrested in connection with a second alleged stalking incident.

The arrest followed an investigation into incidents reported by a juvenile, police say. The victim claimed they were followed and stalked by an unknown male multiple times.

Police say they were able to identify Bartos as the suspect. He was arraigned Thursday on charges of stalking, loitering and prowling at night and harassment.

Bartos is being held in the Allegheny County Jail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 3.

Also on Thursday, Bartos was supposed to be in court for the first stalking case. The judge told us Bartos planned to waive his hearing.
