Man accused of taking pictures under co-worker's skirt with cellphone

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pittsburgh man accused of taking cellphone pictures under a co-worker’s skirt was cited twice last week.

According to police paperwork, Nicholas DePersis is facing harassment and disorderly conduct charges after the alleged incident in Scott Township on Aug. 29.

Officials said DePersis, who works at the Office of Bruce and DePersis, an actuarial firm in the Manor Oak office building, repeatedly would sneak up behind the victim in a crouched position and hold his cellphone under her skirt without her knowledge or consent.

Scott Township police Sgt. Jeff Skees said the victim, a long-time employee, told police 46-year-old DePersis, who is her boss, would pretend to drop something and snap a cellphone picture under her skirt.

“She believed her boss was taking pictures up her skirt. According to the victim, he was attempting to do this without her knowledge,” Skees said.

The victim told investigators that DePersis has been taking pictures every time she wore a skirt for the past two months, but she was afraid to say something because he is her boss.

“If you’re trying to get intimate pictures of someone without their knowledge, it’s an invasion of privacy, and it’s against the law,” Skees said.

According to police, they checked DePersis’s phone and they found several pornographic pictures, but none of the woman.

Police said DePersis would be cited through the mail. He is facing about $800 in fines.

DePersis’s attorney said he plans to plead not guilty.
