FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A man from Braddock was killed this week in Florida in what police are calling an apparent domestic dispute.
Authorities told Channel 11's Brandon Hudson that 35-year-old Otis Blue's friends in Fort Lauderdale reported him missing on Wednesday.
Investigators said the last person he was seen with was his ex-boyfriend, Maurice Goodman. Overnight Thursday, authorities went to Goodman’s house.
According to police paperwork, “a foul odor was detected and feet were visible in the bed” in Goodman’s bedroom.
Police said Goodman quickly closed the door, but officers opened it and found Blue’s body and large amount of blood on the floor, bed and wall.
The paperwork said Goodman told officers, “I hit him in the head and it happened yesterday.”
Authorities said Goodman is charged with first-degree murder.
