NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — A North Huntingdon woman was arrested after police said she stalked a priest.
Investigators said Marie Regina stalked Father David Nazimek, the pastor of Saint Regis Catholic Church in Trafford.
Police said they were called to the church on March 14 after several parishioners noticed Regina sitting in her car in the church's parking lot.
Nazimek told police that Regina had been following him and harassing him since 2010 when he was the pastor of a church in Monessen City.
Nazimek said he sent Regina several letters, approved by the Catholic Diocese, telling her that she was not welcome on church property and the police would be called if she continued to harass him.
Police say Regina followed Nazimek to his new church in Trafford and waited in the dark in the church's parking lot for several hours to see him.
Regina faces several charges, including resisting arrest. Investigators said when officers attempted to take her into custody, she pushed one of the officers away.
