Person in critical condition after rollover crash on I-79

SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A person is in critical condition after a rollover crash on I-79 northbound in South Fayette Township.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the crash happened near the Bridgeville Exit at 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

A vehicle is resting on its driver’s side.

One person has been taken to a hospital from the scene. Sources say that person is in critical condition.

The right lane and right shoulder are blocked at this time, but traffic is still able to pass in the left lane.

PennDOT estimates crews could be at the scene until at least 5 p.m.

Channel 11 has reached out to Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers say they will provide more updates later this evening.
