BETHEL PARK, Pa. — A person is injured after a fire at a house in Bethel Park.

Allegheny County dispatchers said firefighters were called to the 500 block of Chessbriar Drive at 7:49 p.m. on Friday.

Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company Deputy Chief Rob Uselman said the initial call was for a report of a fire in a bathroom of a house.

“Crews arrived on scene. We had smoke showing. We immediately upgraded the assignment to a working fire,” Uselman said.

One person was found inside and taken to a hospital from the scene. Their condition is not known at this time.

Two pets were rescued.

Firefighters were able to knock the fire down in about 15 to 20 minutes.
