‘The Pitt’ stars return to Allegheny General Hospital for season 3 filming

The Pitt cast at AGH Cast members of 'The Pitt' answer questions from the media while at Allegheny General Hospital to film season three of the show.

PITTSBURGH — Critically acclaimed show ‘The Pitt’ is back in Pittsburgh, filming season three.

Some of the show’s stars, including Noah Wyle, arrived at the hospital to a massive chalk mural depicting the cast with the south tower as a backdrop.

The popular series was back filming at Allegheny General Hospital on Monday, shooting exterior scenes — including on the LifeFlight helipad and various entryways.

The interior scenes will be shot at the Warner Bros. studio in California that “meticulously replicates” AGH.

Wyle talked about his character’s growth over the show, and what viewers can expect in the upcoming season.

“I think you’re going to see a slightly more aspirational Dr. Robby than you’ve met before,” he said. “He’s more the man and physician he probably was before the season one version of himself that he hasn’t even seen for a long time.”

The medical drama, which won six Emmys this year, examines the challenges facing healthcare workers in America, focusing on the frontline heroes in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.
