PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh Police vehicle was involved in a crash in East Hills.
Allegheny County dispatchers said the crash happened at the intersection of Bennett Street and Tokay Street at 7:22 p.m. on Thursday.
Channel 11 reached out to Pittsburgh Public Safety Officials for comment.
They responded on Friday, saying the unmarked police vehicle was responding to a call with its lights on when they collided with a Hyundai SUV passenger vehicle.
According to officials, the driver of the Hyundai said they simply didn’t see the officer’s vehicle
Medics evaluated everyone at the scene, but they all denied having injuries.
The officer driving the unmarked vehicle is undergoing mandatory drug and alcohol testing, per bureau procedure.
