KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Kennedy Township last week has been recovered, Allegheny County Police announced on Monday.
At around 12:15 a.m. on Friday, a Kennedy Township Police officer who was on patrol found a man down on the roadway. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Wayne McGinley, 72, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said that the man was hit by a car, which then fled the scene.
On Monday morning, police said detectives have recovered the vehicle involved in the incident. The driver has also been identified, but their identity has not yet been released.
Allegheny County detectives continue to investigate.
