"One of the victims was on the floor in front of the bar. The second victim was behind the bar," Pittsburgh public safety spokesperson Sonya Toler said.
Authorities identified the man who died as Trula Dobbins, 35, of the Hill District.
Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic reported that the other victim was a 37-year-old man who was in stable condition at a Pittsburgh hospital. He suffered injuries to his elbow and thigh. That man's cousin was inside the bar at the time, and she told Channel 11 News that she heard three or four shots.
Police said there was an argument between one of the victims and another man just before the gunfire.
No arrests have been made.
Edward Brooks lives nearby and said he wasn’t surprised to learn about the shooting.
“It's probably time for that bar to go,” he said.
The bar’s owners met with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office Wednesday and agreed to close for the next week until the two parties are able to meet again.
