Several local cities named on list of worst commutes in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH — Several area cities were named on the list of the worst commutes in the state of Pennsylvania.

The list was released by Stacker, and eight local cities were mentioned.

Out of 25 Pennsylvania cities, Butler was ranked No. 23 and New Castle was No. 22. Both cities have average commute times exceeding 20 minutes.

Washington also made the list at No. 20, with Greensburg being the next local city mentioned at No. 14.

Pittsburgh was ranked No. 13, with an average commute time of 24.3 minutes.

New Kensington was ranked No. 8, with commuters averaging times of 26.3 minutes. Lower Burrell was mentioned at No. 7 with an average commute time of 26.8 minutes.

McKeesport, ranked No. 4, had the highest commute time of all cities on the list. According to the list, the average time people spend commuting in McKeesport is 28.3 minutes.
