UNITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Despite all the rain in Latrobe, the Steelers made it out onto the practice field on Friday.
Camp was closed to the public because of concerns over the weather.
We caught up with defensive tackle Cam Heyward.
He says despite the lack of fans in the stands, the team still had some great energy.
“I know there’s no fans, but I loved our energy, especially on the defensive side of the ball. We got to bring it no matter what, you know, and we’re getting toward the dog days of practice. As an older guy, I get to jump in halfway through and say, ‘Hey, as an older guy I had my off day,’ so I gotta bring more energy,” Heyward said.
The team is set to hold its big night practice on Saturday.
It is always one of the most popular events for fans at training camp.
There are activities, games, and a chance to get autographs from former Steelers.
